Life is an Echo !

Life is an Echo
A little boy got angry with his mother and shouted at her, “I hate you, I hate you.” Because of fear of reprimand, he ran out of the house. He went up to the valley and shouted, “I hate you, I hate you,” and back came the echo, “I hate you, I hate you.” This was the first time in his life he had heard an echo. He got scared, went to his mother for

protection and said there was a bad boy in the valley who shouted “I hate you, I hate you.” The mother understood and she asked her son to go back and shout, “I love you, I love you.” The little boy went and shouted, “I love you, I love you,” and back came the echo. That taught the little boy a lesson that our life is like an echo: We get back what we give.

This Is Empathy !

A Puppy

A boy went to the pet store to buy a puppy. Four of them were sitting together, priced at $50 each. Then there was one sitting alone in a corner. The boy asked if that was from the same litter, if it was for sale, and why it was sitting alone. The store owner replied that it was from the same litter, it was a deformed one, and not for sale.
The boy asked what the deformity was. The store owner replied that the puppy was born without a hip socket and had a leg missing. The boy asked, “What will you do with this one?” The reply was it would be put to sleep. The boy asked if he could play with that puppy. The store owner said, “Sure.” The boy picked the puppy up and the puppy licked him on the ear. Instantly the boy decided that was the puppy he wanted to buy. The store owner said “That is not for sale!” The boy insisted.

The store owner agreed. The boy pulled out $2 from his pocket and ran to get $48 from his mother. As he reached the door the store owner shouted after him, “I don’t understand why you would pay full money for this one when you could buy a good one for the same price.” The boy didn’t say a word. He just lifted his left trouser leg and he was wearing a brace. The pet store owner said, “I understand. Go ahead, take this one.” This is empathy.

Thoughts Have Power !

He is Always There to Meet Me!
Two friends met each other after a long interval of time. Both were salesmen, earnestly engaged in building up their careers.
One of them was downcast. “I’m doing very well,” he said ruefully. “Whenever I go to meet the top man in any office, he is sure to be out! How can I make my sales prosper? I know this is going to happen to me again and again. I make my appointment, I reach on time – but I am sure I will not meet the person concerned. Invariably, they tell me he has just left! It’s hopeless I tell you!”
His friend replied, “Whenever I go to meet someone important, I surely expect to find him there! I’m confident that I can convince him to do business with me, and I always come away with a successful sale!”

Thoughts have power. Thoughts constitute the ink in the pen of our life. We will do well to remember that we are writing our own destiny with our thoughts!

How Would You Like to Be Remembered !

How Would You Like to Be Remembered

About a hundred years ago, a man looked at the morning newspaper and to his surprise and horror, read his name in the obituary column. The newspapers had reported the death of the wrong person by mistake.

His first response was shock. Am I here or there? When he regained his composure, his second thought was to find out what people had said about him. The obituary read, Dynamite King Dies. And also He was the merchant of death. This man was the inventor of dynamite and when he read the words merchant of death, he asked himself a question, Is this how I am going to be remembered?

He got in touch with his feelings and decided that this was not the way he wanted to be remembered.

From that day on, he started working toward peace. His name was Alfred Nobel and he is remembered today by the great Nobel Prize. Just as Alfred Nobel got in touch with his feelings and redefined his values, We should step back and do the same.

What is your legacy?

How would you like to be remembered?

Will you be spoken well of?

Will you be remembered with love and respect?

Will you be missed?

You must have a mission statement in life.

This is simply a set of guiding principles which clearly state where you are going and where you want to be at the end of your life.

A mission statement embodies your values.

It is your personal lighthouse keeping you steadily on the course of your dreams.

Over a period of one month, set a few hours aside to write down five or ten principles which will govern your life and which will keep you focused at all times.

Examples might be to consistently serve others, to be a considerate citizen, to become highly wealthy or to serve as a power full leader.

Whatever the mission statement of your life, refine it and review it regularly.

Then when something adverse happens or someone tries to pull you off course, you quickly and precisely return to your chosen path with the full knowledge that you are moving in the direction that you have selected.
