Life is an Echo !

Life is an Echo
A little boy got angry with his mother and shouted at her, “I hate you, I hate you.” Because of fear of reprimand, he ran out of the house. He went up to the valley and shouted, “I hate you, I hate you,” and back came the echo, “I hate you, I hate you.” This was the first time in his life he had heard an echo. He got scared, went to his mother for

protection and said there was a bad boy in the valley who shouted “I hate you, I hate you.” The mother understood and she asked her son to go back and shout, “I love you, I love you.” The little boy went and shouted, “I love you, I love you,” and back came the echo. That taught the little boy a lesson that our life is like an echo: We get back what we give.

Thoughts Have Power !

He is Always There to Meet Me!
Two friends met each other after a long interval of time. Both were salesmen, earnestly engaged in building up their careers.
One of them was downcast. “I’m doing very well,” he said ruefully. “Whenever I go to meet the top man in any office, he is sure to be out! How can I make my sales prosper? I know this is going to happen to me again and again. I make my appointment, I reach on time – but I am sure I will not meet the person concerned. Invariably, they tell me he has just left! It’s hopeless I tell you!”
His friend replied, “Whenever I go to meet someone important, I surely expect to find him there! I’m confident that I can convince him to do business with me, and I always come away with a successful sale!”

Thoughts have power. Thoughts constitute the ink in the pen of our life. We will do well to remember that we are writing our own destiny with our thoughts!

How Would You Like to Be Remembered !

How Would You Like to Be Remembered

About a hundred years ago, a man looked at the morning newspaper and to his surprise and horror, read his name in the obituary column. The newspapers had reported the death of the wrong person by mistake.

His first response was shock. Am I here or there? When he regained his composure, his second thought was to find out what people had said about him. The obituary read, Dynamite King Dies. And also He was the merchant of death. This man was the inventor of dynamite and when he read the words merchant of death, he asked himself a question, Is this how I am going to be remembered?

He got in touch with his feelings and decided that this was not the way he wanted to be remembered.

From that day on, he started working toward peace. His name was Alfred Nobel and he is remembered today by the great Nobel Prize. Just as Alfred Nobel got in touch with his feelings and redefined his values, We should step back and do the same.

What is your legacy?

How would you like to be remembered?

Will you be spoken well of?

Will you be remembered with love and respect?

Will you be missed?

Short Story – Show Consideration !

Show Consideration

One day, a ten-year-old boy went to an ice cream shop, sat at a table and asked the waitress, “How much is an ice-cream cone?” She said, “seventy-five cents.” The boy started counting the coins he had in his hand. Then he asked how much a small cup of ice-cream was. The waitress impatiently replied, “sixty five cents.” The boy said, “I will have the small ice-cream cup.” He had his ice-cream, paid the bill and left. When the waitress came to pick up the empty plate, she was touched. Underneath were ten onecent coins as tip. The little boy had consideration for the waitress before he ordered his ice-crearn. He showed sensitivity and caring. He thought of others before himself.

Regularly send handwritten notes to your business clients and your other relations to
strengthen the bond.

Develop a system which reminds you to send something valuable to this network
at least once every four months.

Send them postcards when you are away on vacation.

If you have to buy a few hundred postcards and spend an hour writing, don’t worry.

This is an exceptionally good investment of your time.

Another idea is to send a recent article of interest to your contacts with a handwritten
note saying that you thought this would interest them and that you continue to value their frindship.

Relationship building should always be a central focus
whether you are a CEO, a student, a salesperson or a parent.
