Being able to crack personal interviews is an important skill for professional growth.
It requires thorough preparation and confidence.”Most organisations conduct at least two rounds of interviews to assess a candidate’s suitability to a job.The first round is usually conducted to assess the applicant’s technical expertise and knowledge in the concerned area by the immediate supervisor.In the subsequent round which attempts to understand the applicant’s behavioral suitability,candidates are expected to exemplify their potential by recalling challenging instances that required them to proved their mettle in their current or past jobs.

The interviewee must  mention his/her biggest achievements and also specify situations where they used their leadership skills.
PREPARE YOURSELF
“First impressions count, so garner as much information as possible on the organisation and the target job profile. Emphasize your strengths and make an honest admission about your weaknesses when quizzed about them. However, do mention how you have overcome those shortcomings.
An interviewer is going to challenge you and evaluate you on your spontaneity, logic, ability and applied thinking.Be prepared for that.
Apart from a one-on-one discussion, you may be required to take a small test or make a
presentation. If you have undertaken diligent research on the company, you will be able to
present yourself suitably. For instance, if the company’s ethos is not overtly aggressive, make sure you come across as assertive and not aggressive.
In addition to updating your knowledge about organisation, it is important to research the profile/background of the interviewer via professional social media platforms.This will help you strike an instant chord, respond  appropriately and even draw a parallel between instances similar to your and his/her career.
NEGOTIATE WELL
“Organisations generally make sure that salary they offer is internally as well as externally competitive. “You can research about the salary scale in the industry and come up with a figure that you seem fit; this will help you negotiate well.
Hone your negotiation skills through practice.
Last but not the least, never lie. If you don’t know something,be candid.Honesty could be the asset that wins you the job.
